A 15-day Martial Arts Training Programme for girl students of Sibsagar University has been organised from 2nd February to 16th February 2026, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., with a special focus on self-defence and the empowerment of girl students. The training is being conducted by Master Debajit Gogoi and Sri Shasankar Gogoi, both internationally trained Black Belt holders, who are fully certified by the Hand-to-Hand Fighting Sport Association, Assam. The instructors possess extensive experience in Tang Soo Do, Karate, Hand-to-Hand Fighting Sport, and Self-Defence, and have a proven track record of conducting training programmes in schools, colleges, and the private sector. All expenses related to the programme are being borne by the University. The programme is presently progressing successfully with enthusiastic and adequate participation from the girl students of the University.
